Densification, and the crime that comes with urban life, will be on the mind of voters in the city of Langley when they head for the polls on Nov. 15.


But the bigger news in the city of 25,000 is that incumbent mayor Peter Fassbender actually has a challenger.
Leading up to the Oct. 10 nomination deadline, it appeared that Fassbender – elected three years ago – wouldn’t have an opponent for the mayor’s seat until former council candidate Ron Abgrall announced his intention to run.
