Langley Township: New boss in town

There’s a new boss in the Township of Langley.

Township of Langley Snapshot

It’s a tale of two Langleys when it comes to the township. The town of about 100,000 is at a bit of a crossroads.

While 80 per cent of its land is designated farmland, 70 per cent of the population lives in the urban “new Langley.”
The disparity has caused plenty of discussion over municipal taxes and who should be paying for the township’s emerging urban services – such as public transit and a full-time fire department.
