With all of Delta’s advanced polls reporting, Anne Peterson, who is clinging on to the sixth council spot, is feeling “fine”—freaked out, insecure, neurotic and emotional.

The results so far for council show Bruce McDonald in the lead, followed by George Hawksworth, Scott Hamilton, Heather King, Robert Campbell and finally, Anne Peterson.

McDonald said that these results are a good indication of where the rest of the votes will lie, and is feeling “pretty good,” but added, “you never count your chickens before they’re clucking!”

Lois Jackson, who is leading in the mayoral race, reiterated his thoughts. “I’m feeling very guarded,” she said. She pointed to the fact that last year she was trailing until the last two polling stations reported.
