A BCA sweep

It was a clean sweep in Burnaby as mayor Derek Corrigan and his Burnaby Citizens Association colleagues won every seat on city council and school board.
“The people in some potentially difficult times, put all their trust in the BCA and an experienced government,” said Corrigan.
Longtime city councillor Lee Rankin, who finished 2,200 votes out of the running, blamed the lop-sided loss on “NDP lies” and the inability of the two opposition parties – Team Burnaby and the Independent Voices – to stay united.
