West Vancouver Snapshot

The hottest race in ritzy West Vancouver may be the only race on the North Shore. While no significant challengers have stepped up to battle in North Vancouver city or district, West Vancouver Mayor Pam Goldsmith-Jones only has to look across the council chambers to find her opponent: Coun. Vivian Vaughn. It was only three years ago when Goldsmith-Jones played the role of upstart, ousting the sitting mayor. Now with simmering concerns over growing density and rising taxes in the city, PGJ finds herself with a target on her back.
