Ernie Daykin defeated incumbent Gordy Robson, the self-professed straight talkin' self-made man to capture the mayor's seat in Maple Ridge.

Former city councillor Ernie Daykin has taken over the mayor's seat in Maple Ridge, beating former MLA Michael Sather by more than 2,000 votes.
