Brodie cruised to an early lead and never looked back; finishing with 19,694 votes.

Former Richmond mayor and Liberal MLA Greg Halsey-Brandt threw his hat backinto the local political ring.

Aveteran of Richmond municipal politics who served for nearly 20 years on council – nine as mayor – Halsey-Brandt says the city needs to reconnect with its citizens and has become too consumed by the Olympic Oval.

Halsey-Brandt declined to run for mayor, citing time constraints.
