Delta Snapshot

All four members of Delta’s ruling civic party, TriDelta, have confirmed their names will be on the ballot Nov. 14, though they will most likely run as independents or under the banner of another party.

Lois Jackson, who has led the party since 1999, will vie for the spot of mayor again, although it is undetermined who she will be facing off against.

Robert Campbell, Scott Hamilton and Vicki Huntington all hope to return as councillors, while George Hawksworth and Vicki Huntington are still undecided.

Delta Mayor set to go it alone

For the first time in more than 20 years, Lois Jackson will be running as an independent after splitting from her former political party, TriDelta. She will be facing off against a familiar face in Krista Engelland, a current councillor who was also part of the TriDelta team. The mayor’s former party has endorsed Engelland along with three other hopefuls.
